We proudly announce that our architecture and interior architecture project, Viila Cheia, will be exhibited from the 18th of October to the 18th of November within the Rural section of Romania’s National Biennial of Architecture Central Exhibition.
On the 25th of May Paul represented Cluj-Napoca’s Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the 10th edition of ‘Alege arhitectura’. The event series, organized by North-West branch of the Order of Architects from Romania, aims to inform the students of Baia Mare’s College of Arts about architecture and architectural education in Romania’s schools of architecture. Paul’s lecture focused on one of the most interdisciplinary and international events that our University has been attending regularly over the last ten years: Seismic Design Competition. The competencies and skills that future students can acquire by pursuing FAU’s educational offer are put to use in this interdisciplinary and international context to help them better understand the terms ‘architect’ and ‘architecture’.
We proudly announce that our architecture and interior architecture project, Viila Cheia, will be exhibited from the 4th to the 13th of June within the Central Exhibition of Romanian Design Week 2021 - the most important event dedicated to creative industries in Romania. This year’s exhibition will be hosted by Combinatul Fondului Plastic and marks ateliercetrei’s 5th contribution to RDW’s central exhibition.
The city of Turda organised an onsite press conference on the occasion of the groundbreaking ceremony for the Castrum Legion V Macedonica. In the presence of Cristian Matei, the mayor of Turda, members of the city council as well as the Awe Infra, the general contractor, our own Anamaria made a brief presentation of our project and its ambitions for the Castrum Legion V Macedonica.
We proudly announce that our interior architecture project for CVG house brought us two new distinctions: it has been selected by Mr. Gašper Fabijan, the curator of BigSEE, one of eastern Europe’s leading international design festivals, to receive the BigSEE Interior Design Award 2021! Besides, it has also been nominated as the best project (Grand Prix) in the category residential.

A hectic 2019 and 2020, crazy production schedules as well as logistic and location related issues prevented us from capturing on film the essence of cross.sideboard. That all changed when Anamaria visited Film23’s new HQ! Needless to say that she considered it as the perfect backdrop for our sideboard and as such Pavel and Petruta Curagau from YWP Studio were fast on the job! After months of debate, detailing and manufacturing possibilities we’ve finally managed to bring into the world the first-ever glass tabletop polimasa. It entered a testing period as the designated conference table in our meeting room on 15th Albert Einstein st. The glass tabletop works elegantly with natural light allowing the polygonal node structure to present itself while through shape and transparency it integrates perfectly into the trapeze shape of the room and its eclectic decor.
While not yet in commercial production we’ll be more than glad to provide further information to prospective clients through our contact page.
As of Friday the 30th of October until Sunday the 8th of November three of our MaNoOtTas will be on display at Casa TIFF part of Cluj Design Days’s ’Home’ exhibition. After six years of hard work, we’ve finally got to invite Ovidiu Micsa from ADMO Studio to photograph Viila Cheia. It was our longest photo session so far, starting from Friday evening until Sunday morning. Our ambition for this session was to capture Viila Cheia in all of its complexity from inside to outside and from dusk until dawn. Many thanks to our hosts at Viila Cheia for taking such good care of us all weekend long and, most importantly, serving us dishes from the new menu of the house!
